World@School
World@School was a project that Study in Flanders implemented from the academic year 2017-2018 to 2025-2026, with the support of the Flemish department of Education and Training, in order to promote internationalisation in primary and secondary schools.
Due to the general budget cuts throughout the entire Flemish higher education sector, this project will no longer be subsidized and is discontinued from 2026-2027 onward.
Description
The World@School-project brought international students from Flemish universities and universities of applied sciences and arts in contact with primary and/or secondary schools. As a student you could particpate by giving a presentation or workshop about local habits and customs, general topics, language, music, etc. The theme of the activity was determined by the student and the school in mutual agreement. After the activity, the international student received a financial compensation by VLUHR-i.
